Onyfix offers an alternative solution for patients who may not be candidates for ingrown toenail surgery, such as those with needle phobia, diabetes, pregnancy or breastfeeding, advanced age, or vascular disease, among other factors.
How does Onyfix Work?
Onyfix is an innovative nail correction system designed to help ingrown or involuted toenails return to their normal shape without requiring surgery or causing any pain.
Utilizing a hard composite material that is cured with LED light, Onyfix functions as a brace for the nail plate, ensuring that the nail maintains the proper shape as it grows from the base to the tip, ultimately guiding the new nail growth.
The Onyfix system remains adhered to your toenail for approximately 2-3 months. As the toenail grows, Onyfix moves with it, aiding in proper nail positioning. During this time, additional bands may be applied to the toenail to guarantee the desired outcome.
We suggest using 3-4 bands with 6-week intervals between appointments. Once the process is complete, the composite is removed, allowing the nail to continue growing naturally.
